This room makeover starts with a necessity… A BIGGER CLOSET! So, I don't have that much space in my room to do a walking closet which would be ideal. HAHAHA <3 But this makeover has come to change my life completely (may sound ridiculous but it really has).
I happen to have a tiny closet and well… tons of clothes compared to it. For starters I divided my closet in half so that I had 2 racks, 1 above the other one. The shoes I moved to the side above the drawers of the closet. This helped a lot but the problem was not solved yet (I had 2 bags filled with clothes just laying around). So I started thinking and searching for solutions. I saw this really cool room that had those store racks in one corner and that inspired me to do this. Notice how I first placed a white bar… I thought that would do but with much embarrassment I must say I did not consider the depth of the hangers. It did not work for what I wanted but ended up being seriously useful (I hang my scarfs on it). I proceeded to place that shelf (the same one I placed inside my closet) and that one worked out terrifically, now I could hang and fold my clothes.
I also used 3 hangers! 1. Purses 2. Belts and 3. Hats! And of course bought a thin and tall mirror that would not take that much space from the wall.
The next step is to add more of your personal style. For that I painted this flowers. Also because that paint was really ugly already…
And TA DA! I did other 3 makeovers that I don't have much pictures of but will mention.
1. Turned a big furniture into 2 furnitures… One is the tall white one (in it I have a drawer specifically for my sunglasses and watches, for my headbands and 2 more for not too necessary but necessary gadgets you use from time to time. I also bought a Jewelry box that saves me so much space. And the second part turned into a drawer/sofa filled with pillows.
2. Did an invisible book shelf and also started painting and hanging drawings up to the wall.
3. Totally repositioned everything in my room in order to fit and make it look spacier.
PS. Oliver (my black cat) used to love me much more back then and he accompanied me through the whole process. He also showed his painter skills.
And that's it! People, I recommend you to change up your rooms from time to time. It is so refreshing and fun.
